Timone (timone.dev) lets you deploy apps and databases without managing servers or infrastructure. This page explains what we store about you and why. Timone is in early access and run by one person.
What we collect
- Identity: when you sign in with GitHub or Google we receive your username or name, your email address and your account ID at that provider. We use nothing else from your Google account (only the
openid, emailandprofilescopes). - GitHub repositories: if you connect GitHub we only see the repositories you choose in GitHub's own selector, with read-only access. We store the installation ID, not a long-lived token.
- Your projects: app names, settings, deployment history and logs, and the environment variables and database credentials you create. Secrets are encrypted before they are stored.
- Technical data: IP address and request logs of our API, used for security and abuse prevention. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in; we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
- We do not read the contents of your apps or databases, except to operate the service or when required to stop abuse.
- We do not use Google user data for anything other than signing you in.
Where it lives
The service runs on a server in Falkenstein, Germany (Hetzner). Traffic goes through Cloudflare. A daily encrypted backup of the platform database and a disk backup are kept. Third parties that process data for us: Hetzner (hosting), Cloudflare (network and custom domains) and GitHub or Google (sign-in).
Your control
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. This removes your projects, databases, deployments, variables and tokens. Backups age out within 14 days. You can also disconnect GitHub in Settings, which revokes our access, and uninstall the Timone GitHub App from your GitHub settings. To ask for a copy of your data or for anything else, write to [email protected].
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way we will update the date above and, when it affects you, tell you in the dashboard.
